Seabird in Wilmington

It was our tenth anniversary and we took a trip to Wilmington. One morning we found the Seabird when we went walking around looking for a place to eat breakfast and they were open for brunch. It definitely became our favorite restaurant from this trip. The decor was fantastic and so was the service and food. You can read more about Chef Dean Neff, the owner, and the opening of the restaurant by just Googling. There are plenty of interviews online. The attention to detail was obvious in our whole experience.

Interior of the Seabird

Mark had oysters and poached eggs. He said the oysters were perfect. I had eggs, grits, bacon, a biscuit, and complimentary coffee cake. It was the second best breakfast that I ever had. The first being biscuits and sausage gravy at the Inn at Forest Oaks. I don't like gravy but for some reason that breakfast was heaven.

The Seabird grits were the best I have had and the biscuit ... mmm!

Put the Seabird on your MUST list when you visit Wilmington.
